In our pursuit of excellence, we regularly verify/calibrate the weights & measures used in trade and commerce, keep a metrological check on packaged commodities and enforce provisions of the Legal Metrology Act and Rules in the State of Goa.

Our Department offers a wide range of services, from licensing of manufacturers, dealers, and repairers of weights and measures to verification, calibration, and certification of weights and measures; to registration of manufacturers, packers, and importers of packaged commodities, as well as monitoring the packaged commodities sold in the market. We are committed to defending consumer rights under the ambit of the Legal Metrology Act and executing stringent measures against violators of the Act.
